Beginning Band

Beginning Band is for incoming 6th grades who were in band in elementary. Due to high numbers, students who were in band in elementary get first priority. Students who have no band experience may join if it is approved by the director. In Beginning Band students will continue to learn the basics of their instrument, aspects of performance and basic music theory. Students will continue to play the same instrument they chose in elementary school unless a switch is approved by the director. This group will perform at least two concerts throughout the school year.
