Wind Ensemble

The Wind Ensemble is our top group. It consist of 8th graders and advanced 7th graders. 7th graders can be invited to join or audition. Students must have completed at least two years of study on a band instrument. It is a full year elective. This class concentrates on teaching students the many aspects of performance, music theory, and instrument techniques. The Wind Ensemble performs a wide range of literature and performs in at least four concerts throughout the year. Along with performing concerts at Ollivier they also perform at other locations. The Wind Ensemble participates in the CMEA band ratings festival each year and also festivals out of town.
